Wild Swan!

These past few weeks have brought many changes, challenges and awakenings. Some sad moments and some life altering epiphanies.... and now I can say I am looking forward to what comes next ...more love, more joy, more living in the present moment ...more ART, more creativity ... more sharing with others!!!

And more new projects I am excited about ... including a Fairytale Colouring Book which is in the works. Its the book I always wished I had as a child ...the one I wish to give to many, many children and hope will be given as a gift many times over.

Above is Wild Swan ...she was one of the first drawings. Many more have been drawn and are in the works. Soon they will be collected into a printable book and coloured to heart's delights!!! Promise to show you when its all finished!

This week has also brought Miso Soups for lunch and the arrival of some beautiful books that have opened my heart, brought wonder and delight to my soul and made me think and act in my truth... here's a little list to share ...

Girlosophy, The Flinch, The Minimalists Essential Essays,  Living With Joy and Daniel Egneus's beautiful version of Red Riding Hood. Brave Girl ... Free Printable Poster!

Today I am going to step bravely into my future! Today I am going to embrace and imagine wonderful things for myself! Today I let go of the old and welcome the new with an open heart! 

This week's Free Printable is not quite a journal page ...I think its come out as more of a Poster to print out and stick on the wall or in a frame. Although I am sure you could still write your thoughts on its brightness if you like too! Butterfly Tea!

Butterfly Green Tea and homemade anzac biscuits exist in my land of pastels and bursts of colour pop and sway on the breeze too! A new painting in the works...I'm loving painting delicate china edges and maccaroons ...this one will need a special frame! ...

And a couple of new exciting things are in the works ... my very first colouring book is being created as we speak ...I can't wait to share it with some beautiful little souls and here's a little vintage poster I created for my upcoming book's facebook page!

Petite Theatres and Pencil Fences!

Good Morning my Butterfly friends!

Here's a little post about the things wonderful April has brought me ...

Pretty leaves and vanilla tea leaves.

The creation of a Puppet Theatre for my son's classroom ...they are making animal puppets at the moment, I can't wait to watch the performance... 

A trip to the beautiful town of Daylesford ...where we found a Pencil Fence hiding in a lane and this most fabulous shop! 

And new creations on my messy desk ... little birds greeting the day and farewell to the Pink Butterfly... which reminds me that as it gets a little colder its time to find the perfect warm kimono to swan about the house in! Hello! I disapeered for a little while. An injured ankle and a sick computer with a terrible flu have kept me away a little while. But I'm back and well and have a happy computer again. I am behind on sending you love and tea and art and Journal pages. I will catch up over the next few weeks and looking forward to sharing new projects, new paintings and photos.

New Tea Adventures, Cake and Such!

Its the end of the week and Autumn has joined us with with cool and blustering winds here by the bay. Its also time to share some new Tea and Art Adventures that have been enjoyed this week. 

Homemade Pear Cake (above) ...this is disapearing very quickly. Chocolate cake from a fave cafe (and look a little messy heart appeared on my spoon!)

Next up a passing by pic of the oldest Tea Rooms in Melbourne...Hopetoun ...unfortunately didn't have time to stop this time and the queue for Morning Tea was growing outside the door! My my tummy was happy just to have a look!

And then we move on to Tea in my ultimate favorite lovely cup and saucer. She's a bit chipped, but I do love her and can't bear to replace her.

Some Art making now follows ... a shot of my desk ...something new is emerging and will be making a grand appearance HERE next week! Plus a little collage I made just for fun that reads "Good Morning, Put a little Sunshine in your Heart, And Shine from the Inside Out, Greetings from Our Friend The Sun!" This one is dying for a frame...she might tag along to the market with me too!

Rain Blossoms!

"The raindrops danced in the pink sun as the aqua blossoms reached for the light."
A new little painting appeared today and told me she wanted her portrait taken ...so here she is in her pink and aqua glory with antique painted sides to make her look a little more mature. She's also been decorated with some textured vintage wallpaper for a little luxury! For now she is starring as a feature in my ETSY shop ...but I do think she would rather be adorning someone's wall who loves her even more!

Tea Adventures ( I wonder what kind Galileo drank?)

So today my grand imagination decided that a new weekly segment should be born on my blog! Starring ......( drum roll please!) ....my daily tea/coffee drinking rituals accompanied by all the pretty dancing china pieces that appear from the backstage cupboards. Oh and I must include coffee outings of course too! Here's a few from this week! Not only do I have tea on offer ( I do hope you will join me?) but a quote must be added to the mix too! This one speaks to me today as I am painting stars and letting go of fears. An Adventure begins!

Monday ...Coffee at my desk whilst drawing...with my new second hand shop find ...a chinese tin birdie plate

Tuesday...coffee and raisin toast ...whilst getting new paintings reading for an upcoming Artists Market.

Wednesday...coffee at Moby...lovely cafe by the sea which has its own playground so I can watch gorgeous kid and drink at the same time!

Friday's Free Journal Page... Nice and Calm!

Oh Goodness, I nearly forgot to put up this week's free printable journal page. Lots of goings on here, but a nice little voice reminded me that a special someone might need this for their thoughts this weekend.

Most Wonderful Door Do Dah's! ( or I think my son is a genius!)

Once upon a time, there was an adorable four year old boy who loved to make things. He loved to make things so much that he had a very messy art desk. Sometimes it got so messy that he would sit under it ( because there was no room on top and create things in secret on the floor that his Mum wasn't allowed to look at until they were finished! 

One day little bursts of colour started to appear throughtout the house! Door Doo Dah's were born and they make his Mum smile every time she see's one and she hopes more will be created soon.

This week has been a whirl! Another birthday was had and my first day of 37 has involved & included ...

1 chai latte with honey and fabulous muffin at my most favorite cafe in my favorite beach town with lots of my favorite girls

2 beloved boys and 2 much icecream

2 handmade kid cards with rainbows and such

6 trips in car (school, kinder etc...) plus group trip to op shop for treasures

4 splendorous peacock feathers

1 Dottie Angel Book ... what a fabulous present!!! ....( picked it myself!!!!)

Numerous bird and butterfly things

1 red wine, swanning about in my fifties dress and heels, amazing dinner and friends to share it with

1 LOVE cake (honey, rosewater, lemon, nuts, yum!!!) made by 1 wonderful husband

1 cat cushion to have a rest on and to top it all off ..."What would Jesus Do?" post it sticky notes! Plus many, many Bday wishes from wonderful friends! What more could a girl want??? A GREAT DAY! 

Plus ...here's my present to you ... a new free printable journal page called GROW (growing from the old into the new ...and blooming!!!!) inspired by my new book and all its doily, vintage wonderfulness .... enjoy scribbling all over this one and have a wonderful weekend too!

DRINKING ...Rose Petal Tea whilst dreaming BIG reading my daily class lessons from Hello Soul Hello Business! Kelly and Beth have started a truly inspired Revolution!!!

READING... Possesion by A.S.Byatt. I finally picked up this remarkable book, its been waiting for me for a few years! Should I see the film or not???? 

MAKING... new patterns to create a collection for the amazing online Surface Pattern Design Course I am in the midst of studying.

FINDING.... 91 Magazine ... this quirky and fun online magazine filled to the brim with vintage and craft mixed together!!! 

PLAYING... with my boys at the most amazing indoor kids play space I've ever seen ..." The Imaginarium" ...I want to have my birthday party in the Mad Hatters Tea Room. There's also an Alice room, pirate room, cowboy room, glow in the dark room and coming soon a Willy Wonka room!!! See more amazing photos and info HERE!!!
