Good Afternoon my Butterfly Friends! Its been a month already since my last post...its flown by and I have so much to show and tell! My youngest started school last week ...so it's a year of new and happy beginnings for both of us!
Here are some of the things I have been up to so far in 2013...
LEARNING and GROWING...
I decided to kick off the school year ( and my newly found freedom) by starting a photography course with the One and Only Miss Vivienne McMaster. It's called Be Your Own Beloved ... We take a creative self portrait every day for the month and we share them as a group, face some fears and learn to love ourselves so much more! I am learning some amazing photography tips and tricks along the way too! The photo above is DAY 6 ...looking at ourselves through the camera with love!
PAINTING... I have a few I haven't shown here yet! Here is one in progress called "Lotus Dreaming". I have started practising Yoga again and during meditation at the end of each session I often experience seeing beautiful Lotus flowers...a wonderful gift from the universe!!!
WINNING!!!... I won a beautiful journal by the amazing Petra Kern...see more of her work HERE!!! Petra makes the most beautiful handpainted patterns! We took the Do What You Love Surface pattern Design Course together online last year...and I am really enjoying all of her beautiful art!
FOUND... Oh my goodness...look what I found last week at the MIll Markets ...I just had to bring this vintage beauty home with me...I love finding winged things!
LISTENING TO... Miss Natasha ...I adore listening to all the Bat For Lashes albums whilst painting at the moment!
CREATING... It's nearly ready...my Fairytale Colouring Book is having the final tweeks done to it right now! Here's a sneak peek above! (p.s There are some more pages to see over at my website! )
I have grand plans for this book and the ones to follow too! ...In fact I have been reading a ginormous amount of books ...they are piled high all around my bed...including this one...
READING... I discoverd the TOMS story about a year ago and decided that before I put my colouring books and next offerings out into the world that I would sit down and read Mr Blake Mycoskie's book first! This is True Inspiration!!! I recommend it to anyone who is interested in serving the world in a big or small way! I am now working on a Plan to make sure I can serve with my talents and inspire the children and mother's of the world who may need it most!
