Ugly Betty!

Introducing Ugly Betty ... Who is actually not so ugly anymore! My beautiful friend Louise bought "a lovely brown and beige with peeling lino, renovators delight caravan" this year and with her very creative hands has turned it into the perfect place to have a tea party ...or a little SHOPPE!!! Betty is attending her second market tomorrow decked out in black and white checks, spots and stripes with a hint of red. Louise will display her label JUNK OWL which includes gorgeous handmade blankets, skirts, childrens clothing and re-fashioned jackets inside and she is even taking some of my lovely wares to share there too! So come and meet Betty ...at the Artefact Market ( formerly the Artists Market) in Geelong tomorrow and Piccadilly Market on the waterfront on Sunday!!! In Flight!

Funny and fabulous flying objets came my way today! The above Bird Cage just tickled me pink, its from Tabitha Emma. This Sydney girl also has the most adorable Sewn Fabric Cakes and fantastic Art prints, love them!!!

Craft Pudding!

This one was so cute I couldn't resist! It was found at Craft Pudding ! There's lots more over there too, very cute and all handmade!

What a Hoot!

Look WHOOOO came to our house!!! Another project from the weekend! This little Owl is now welcoming our guests hanging next to the front door! He, his brothers and sisters and Mum and Dad came home from the OP Shop about two weeks ago! They are ( were) metal trivets to place hot plates upon! Not sure what I will do with the rest of the family, but hopefully they will pop up here soon in another form!
I tied lots of wire together using pliers and simple jewellery tools. Then spray painted my wire nest and the Owl a lovely blue, then got to work threading beads and twine to decorate! A quick project completed in a couple of hours! Now I need to get to more practical projects ... like hanging all our pictures and paintings on the bare walls of our new house!

Pretty Maidens!

Would you Believe the boys had an afternoon nap at the same time on Sunday Afternoon... So I got to make STUFF! I am always in my element when I can make something New from something Old! (At College I was the re-cycle Queen!)
I've had these gorgeous oriental coasters I found in an Op Shop stashed away in a box for a couple of years and decided it was time all these girls came out to make their debut as a little wall hanging in our new house! I've just tied some lilac ribbon through each to join them and then added some sparkle with beads knotted into the ends!!!
